Push Pier Installation for Kathleen homeowners
On a Kathleen property the right pier depends on what is standing on it. The newer subdivision homes with brick veneer supply plenty of weight for a push pier to react against, and they drive cleanly through the graded fill to material that resists.
The older farmhouses are a different case. Light frame construction on pier and beam foundations does not provide enough reaction weight, and a driven pier will stall before it reaches bearing. On those we recommend helical piers and say so plainly.
