Free estimates, what happens when we find something the quote didn't cover, where your warranty actually lives, and how we handle job photos.
These are the ground rules for using this website and for the free estimates we hand out. The real agreement for any work at your home is the written contract you sign — if anything here disagrees with that contract, the contract wins.
Our inspection and quote cost you nothing and commit you to nothing. Nobody is going to hand you a bill for looking, and nobody is going to pressure you into a decision on the spot.
It runs both ways. Until both sides have signed a written contract, neither of us is committed. You can walk away, and we can too — if a job turns out to be outside what we do, or outside where we work, we'll say so.
Nothing on this website is a quote or a price. Prices depend entirely on what's actually under your house, which is why we come and look. The written quote you get after your inspection is fixed for the scope described in that quote.
TODO (Trench Guys): state how long a written quote stays valid before pricing is revisited.
Crawl spaces and foundations hide things. Rot, standing water, a failed support, termite damage, a broken line — plenty of it simply cannot be seen until the vapour barrier comes up or the ground is opened, no matter how careful the inspection was.
So here's how we handle it. If we find something the quote didn't cover, we stop, show you what we found, and explain what it means and what your options are. Anything extra gets written down with its price and needs your approval before we carry on. You will never be charged for work you haven't agreed to in writing.
That also means a quote is a quote for what we could see and reasonably expect — not a promise that nothing else will turn up.
We stand behind our work, and this website says so. But what your warranty actually covers, how long it runs, whether it transfers if you sell the house, what voids it, and how you make a claim — all of that is set out in the contract and warranty document you sign, not in the marketing language on these pages.
Read that document before work starts, and keep it. If anything on this site reads like a broader promise than what your paperwork says, your paperwork is the one that counts. Ask us for a copy of the warranty terms before you sign; we'll hand it over.
TODO (Trench Guys): attach or link the current warranty document so homeowners can read the actual terms before signing.
Trench Guys does not lend money. Where payment plans or financing are available, they're offered through an outside lender, and the agreement is between you and that lender — not with us.
That means the application, whether you're approved, your interest rate, any fees, and your monthly payments are all set by the lender under their own terms and their own privacy practices. Approval is never guaranteed, and we can't change or waive their terms. Read their paperwork the same way you'd read ours.
Whatever happens with financing, the work at your home is still governed by the contract you signed with us.
TODO (Trench Guys): name the lender or lenders you actually work with here, and link to their disclosures.
We photograph our work — before, during, and after. That's how the job gets documented, how a warranty claim gets settled years later, and how we check our own crews' quality. Those photos are taken on every job.
Some of them also end up on this website and on our social media, because showing real crawl spaces is the honest way to explain what we do. When we publish a photo, it shows the crawl space, basement, or foundation and the work itself.
If you'd rather your home's photos never appear publicly, just say so — tell the crew lead on the day, or call or text 478-236-6403 — and we'll keep them internal, for your file only. If something of yours is already published and you want it taken down, ask and we'll remove it.
TODO (Trench Guys): make sure the signed contract carries a photography consent line that matches this, with a box the homeowner can decline.
The articles, symptom guides, and checklists here are general information about the kinds of problems Middle Georgia homes get. They are not an assessment of your house. No web page can tell you whether a crack matters or what your floor needs — only someone underneath it can. Please don't make a structural decision based on what you read here.
We try to keep the site accurate and current, but we can't promise every page is complete or up to date at all times. Service areas listed here are where we normally work; a job outside them may be one we have to decline.
The text, photos, logo, and design on this site belong to Trench Guys. You're welcome to link to us or print a page for your own use; please don't republish it as your own.
If you give us a phone number, we'll use it — a call, and sometimes a text, about your enquiry or your job. Tell us to stop and we will, with no argument and no follow-up. The same goes for email.
TODO (Trench Guys): if any marketing texts are sent beyond replying to an enquiry, add the message-frequency, data-rate, and opt-out wording that applies.
We link out to a few places — a map, a financing partner, our social pages. Once you follow one of those links you're on someone else's website, under their terms and their privacy practices, and we're not responsible for what's there.
We'll post the updated version here and change the date at the top. Changes apply going forward; they don't rewrite a contract you've already signed.
